GOV 220. The Chief Executive

An analysis of the political and administrative roles played by chief executives at the national, state, and local levels of government. Close attention will be paid to the part they play in formulating and implementing public policy, managing the bureaucracy, guiding public opinion, leading political parties, and serving as symbols of government. (Offered fall semesters.)
Prerequisite: English 101. In addition: Government 101 or permission of the section instructor.
