MAT 260. Data Processing

This course provides the student with basic knowledge of personal computers and their use in the modern workplace. Non-technically trained individuals learn how to organize their data for efficient computer use and to decide whch practical options are available vis-à-vis specific computer systems. Students learn to use word processing packages, spreadsheets, and databases in a modern networked computing environment. (Offered every semester.)
Prerequisite: English 101 and 3 credits of mathematics. No previous computer course is required.
