MAT 276. Systems Analysis and Design

The course introduces the concepts of information systems analysis and design, including techniques for managing a systems development project. The role of the systems analyst and an overview of the entire systems development lifecycle are discussed. In addition, the requirements for an information system are defined using graphical models and supporting documentation. User interface and database designs are emphasized. Alternative analysis and design methods are also presented, as well as the object-oriented approach. (Offered fall semesters.)
Prerequisite: Mathematics 260 or 271, and English 101.
