An examination of the uses of computers as aids to public administration, and a survey of the basic knowledge which a manager should possess to work effectively with computers. Topics of examination include: trends in computer technology as they affect management, organizational impacts, employee development, computers and management styles and techniques, productivity improvement with computers, selection and use of software packages, selection and use of hardware systems, and management applications such as simulation and data base management.
