PAD 420. Contemporary Administration and the Judiciary

Study of emerging trends and issues in the administration of the courts, and the emerging role of the judiciary in the administration of programs in the public and private sectors. Examination of the literature of traditional court administration, as well as from areas of judicial intervention, such as corrections, school desegregation, mental health, and foster care. Review of the history of judicial approaches to the administrative process, with focus on the forms of intervention and the substantive issues raised. (Same course as Law 420.)
