SOC 341. International Criminology

This course analyzes the nature and causation of international and transnational crime and examines issues in the globalization of crime, including terrorism, money laundering, drug trafficking and weapons dealing, among others. Using data from international crime and victimization surveys, this course will also explore patterns, trends and rates of crime and delinquency and will discuss the variety of sociological, demographic and economic explanations. (Offered fall semesters.)
Prerequisite: English 102 and Sociology 101.
